BE A CHANNEL OF BLESSING - Dr Mike Okonkwo The Presiding Bishop (TREM)
“And I
will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy
name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.” Genesis 12:2 (KJV)
God’s
intention is for you to be a very profitable channel that blesses
humanity. The more you release, the more He pours out unto you;
therefore, always see yourself as a channel of blessing. Don’t ever say
you don’t have anything because every person has something to give. Go
out of your way and give of your substance whenever there is a need.
Always remember that whenever you give towards putting food on someone
else’s table or clothing on a person’s back, you are actually lending to
the Lord. Let me assure you that you can never give to make life better
for others and go away empty handed. God is obligated to replenish your
storehouse when you give to the poor.
In Luke
10, Jesus told His disciples the story of the Good Samaritan in order to
demonstrate who His neighbour was. According to the story, a certain
man on his way to Jericho fell among thieves and was robbed, stripped,
wounded, and left for dead. The Good Samaritan was the one who was
sensitive enough to meet the needs in the man’s life. Beloved, it’s not
all about money; you can meet a need in many different ways. Right now,
there are lots of you who have stacks of beautiful clothes, shoes, and
accessories in your wardrobes that no one is really using. Bless others
with them. Being a source of blessing to others is one way of sharing
the goodness of God in your life.
There is
someone out there who is praying that God will meet a need in his or
her life. And guess what? You may just be the answer to that prayer. I
encourage you to go out of your way and find areas where you can be of
assistance to those who are in dire need. I can assure you that whatever
you give to them in love the Lord will richly reward you for in return.
